1.What is Magic Salt™? Magic Salt is a patented liquid treated salt deicer available in both liquid and granular form.

2.What is Magic-O liquid? Magic Minus Zero is a highly effective liquid deicer. Magic-O is a proprietary formula of magnesium chloride combined with an agricultural byproduct of the distilling process) i.e. grain and / or sugar based) and is protected under U.S. patent #4,676,918. The liquid treatment is a strong deicer used to pre-treat lots and walks prior to a snow event. This pretreatment prevents the snow and ice from bonding to paved surfaces preventing snow and ice from bonding to surfaces thus improving making snow removal more effective and less costly.

3.How is the salt treated? ?Magic-0 liquid is mixed into a salt pile at the rate of 6-8 gallons per ton of dry salt using a loader or pug mill.

4.Is Magic Salt safe? One of the safest products on the market, Magic Salt has been shown to be about as corrosive as distilled water! It is environmentally friendly, safer for pets and children than other deicers, safe on concrete and green concrete, landscaping and hardscaping. It is water soluble, so it’s also easy to clean. Magic Salt is the ONLY liquid deicer approved by the New York State DEC for application in the New York City watershed areas and Magic Salt is the ONLY deicer approved by the New York State DOT one of the most conservative regulatory bodies in the country!

5.Is Magic Salt expensive? No, in fact it is possible to save money using Magic salt. Because it is more effective at lower quantities, it will save money on time, labor, and equipment while increasing productivity. It prohibits rust and decreases the slip and fall liability.

6.What are the benefits of Magic Salt?
·Rock salt applications are reduced by 30% to 50%.
·Prevents ice formation to -35 degrees F. Untreated rock salt is effective to only +18 degrees F. This means your lots will be wet and black when you arrive.
·Low corrosion value: Unlike plain rock salt or calcium chloride, independent tests show Magic Salt neutralizes the corrosive nature of rock salt. It will reduce damage to steel doors, thresholds, equipment, cars, flooring or concrete.
·Prevents snow and ice from packing onto surfaces: Pretreated surfaces will remain snow and ice free post event until washed away. Because of its residual effect, snow and ice will not bond to pavement and black ice is virtually eliminated.
·Pet friendly: Organically based Magic Salt is less corrosive / irritating than traditional deicers. It is safe for pets and their sensitive paws and skin.
